I was skeptical about this toothbrush as it seemed a bit gimmicky and like most 3 year olds, my daughter changes daily in terms of what she’s going to fight and what she’s going to go with the flow on. I wasn’t sure if this was going to be a giant fail or if it would be a huge breakthrough in terms of my time and frustration fighting her to brush teeth nightly. My husband keeps wanting her to do her own teeth and I keep saying she isn’t proficient at 3 to do her teeth properly. This toothbrush is the “meet in the middle” factor. She was super excited to try it once she realized it was a chance at more independence. So far we’ve used it three times today. (seriously- she ASKED to use it before nap time… whose kid is this?) She tends to object to bristles but the silicone bristles are soft. She said her teeth felt “slippery” (clean) after brushing. Overall I couldn’t be happier that she can take over a chore for herself at least once a day, and I’m pretty sure she feels the same. Once less toddler struggle daily is worth every penny.
My son doesn’t fight me to brush his teeth with these! He can do it by himself now. I dunno if they will be great the older he gets but for now they are perfect size for his mouth.
